Tutorial 38: Hardware Tessellation

DirectX 10 and shader model 4 and below do not support hardware tessellation. Only DirectX 11 and shader model 5 and above can utilize the hardware tessellation abilities provided on a video card. Tessellation can still be achieved in DirectX 10 but it must be done as a software implementation.
